How Vision Determines Which Category Table to Use for Billing

To determine the category to use for a particular employee working on a particular project, Vision looks in certain locations, in a particular order.

1. Vision first looks at the Override Table value specified on the Labor tab of the project's Billing Terms form.
2. If the Method on the Labor tab is By Category, Vision next looks at the labor category table assigned to the project.
3. Next Vision looks at the Labor Category specified on the Accounting tab of the Employee Info Center

You can override the value set in the Employee Info Center with a labor override table or a labor category table. Deltek recommends that you use labor override tables to override categories. Whichever method you choose, be consistent with all of your category overrides.
