Timesheet Line Item Charge alerts are generated when individual line items are charged to a project. Recipients of this alert can be the Project Manager, Principal, and Supervisor. However, if any of the recipients were not selected in Timesheet Configuration as being able to approve line items, they are not available here.
Prerequisites: For these alerts to work, you must turn on line item approval for the project on the Time and Expense tab of the Project Info Center. You must also set the
Timesheet Line Item Approval option to
On or
on the System Timesheet form in Time and Expense Configuration. You also need to create employee groups to which you apply the rule. See the Timesheet Configuration help for information on how to create groups.
To set up Timesheet Line Item Charge alerts, complete the following steps:

From the Vision Navigation menu, click
.

In the
Folders field on the Alerts Configuration form, select
Time.

In the
Alert field, select
Timesheet Line Item Charge.

Select the
Active option to enable the alert throughout Vision; if no rules exist for this alert, the
Active field is disabled.

Click
Options to select an existing alert rule or to create a new rule.
If a rule was already assigned to this alert,
<options selected> displays in this field.

To remove the option for this alert, delete
<options selected>.

Click
Save.
