Configure a Planning Grid

A planning grid presents data for each element in the Work Breakdown Structure. Use the Labor, Consultants, or Expenses tabs of the Planning Grids form to enter the default, system-wide setup for labor cost and billing rate information.

On each of these tabs, you select columns and rows. The columns that you select display by default on the Planning grid on the corresponding tab in Project Planning. The rows that you select display by default on the Accordion Calendar grid on the corresponding tab in Project Planning. Users can modify these settings.

To configure the default setup for a Planning grid, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Configuration > Planning > Planning Grids.
  2. On the Planning Grid Configuration dialog box, select the columns and rows to display by default in Planning grids.
  3. Click Save.
