Change the Range of Values to Which the Color Gradient Applies in the Visualization Window

After you display a visualization map, you can change the range of values to which the color gradient applies in the Visualization window. (You can also change the range of values in the Options dialog box for the visualization.)

To use the sliders in the Visualization window to change the range of values to which the color gradient applies, complete the following steps:

1. If the size and color sliders are not displayed in the Visualization window, select Show slider and load setting controls on the General tab in the Options dialog box and regenerate the visualization map.
2. Make sure that the metric for which you want to change the color gradient is selected in the Color field.
3. With the color slider (the bottom slider), do any combination of the following:

   • To change the metric value that you want to represent with the pure low color, drag the left color marker to the left to set it at a lower value or to the right to set it at a higher value. (All values lower than the selected value are also represented by the pure low color.)

   • To change the metric value that you want to represent with the pure high color, drag the right color marker to the left to set it at a lower value or to the right to set it at a higher value. (All values higher than the selected value are also represented by the pure high color.)

   • To change the metric value that you want to represent with the pure center color, drag the middle color marker to the left to set it at a lower value or to the right to set it at a higher value.

To see the metric value for the current position of a color marker, position the mouse pointer on the marker. Vision displays the corresponding value in a tool tip.
