When you are in the Master Project view of the Projects List View, You cannot use the Cost, Schedule, and Progress options on the Projects View toolbar. You can only use the menu options on the Navigation menu under Projects.
The Enter Cost Progress Navigation menu option under Projects provides an easy way for you to access progress for master projects.
When you access the view for the first time, the grid is blank and you must use the Search feature to select a control account. The next time you access the view, PM Compass remembers your selection.
This view is filtered using the Assignment Mapping grid, the Progress Admin Group on the System Settings Progress tab, and the code assignments on the subprojects.
Even if you are using a master project, the determination for who can enter progress is based on the assignment mapping hierarchy and the code assignments on the subproject and not the master project.
