Manage the Launch and Activation Permissions Section

Follow this procedure to manage the Launch and Activation Permissions section in DCOM.

To manage the section:

1. In the Launch and Activation Permissions section, select Customize.

2. Click Edit.

3. In the Launch and Activation Permission dialog box, click Add.

4. In the Select Users, Computers, Service Accounts, or Groups dialog box, enter the domain account you are using in the Enter the object names to select field.

5. Click OK.

6. In the Launch and Activation Permission dialog box, in the Group or usernames box, select the domain account you entered above and select Allow for each of the following permission settings:

   • Local Launch

   • Remote Launch

   • Local Activation

   • Remote Activation

7. Click OK to save the changes and return to the Security tab.
