Create and Configure Roles and Accounts

When you are given access to the Maconomy SaaS environment, the SaaS Administrator account is already set up for you. The username is typically your full name. The initial username and password for this account are included in two separate emails sent to you. You are asked to change your password after your initial log in.

Note: If you lose or forget your SaaS Administrator password, you must submit a service request through Deltek Customer Care to restore access to the Administrator account.

The SaaS Administrator account includes administrative permissions that give you full access to all areas of the Maconomy software that are licensed to your organization. As the SaaS Administrator, you then have the responsibility of creating user accounts and assigning passwords to your organization’s employees.

Warning: Deltek recommends that SaaS Administrators be cautious in setting up further Administrator accounts within the Maconomy database. Such accounts provide access to all of your data and all functions and should only be provided sparingly.

Once you have received initial solution training from your Implementer, you will be able to set up user accounts in Maconomy by accessing the relevant workspaces from the main menu in the left part of your Workspace Client.

There are standard users set up in addition to the named users that you control as an SaaS Administrator. These standard users are utilized as part of the overall configuration of your environment, and are maintained by Deltek Cloud Operations:
  • System Administrator
  • USync
  • Background Task
  • Other Deltek Supported Applications

The above standard users will not require a Maconomy license, and therefore do not count against your licensed user count.

Warning: Please DO NOT modify these standard accounts, as it may impact the availability of your system.
