Contents

Field Description
DATE Enter the date for the touchpoint, or click and select it on the calendar.
CONTACT If you are adding a touchpoint for an opportunity or a company, select the contact for the touchpoint. Type one or more characters from the contact name (first, middle, last, or preferred name) to select from a list of contacts whose names contain those characters, or click to select from the full list of contacts. (You can also search for a first name - last name or preferred name - last name combination.) If the contact has not yet been added in iAccess, you can click + New Contact at the bottom of the selection list to display the Add Contact form and add the contact.

This field is not available when you add or edit a touchpoint in the Contacts area. The contact for the touchpoint in that case is the currently selected contact.

A touchpoint that you add for an opportunity or a company is also associated with the contact, if you specify one in this field, and with the contact's company, and it displays on the Touchpoints tabs in the Contacts and Companies areas.

OPPORTUNITY Select the opportunity with which the touchpoint is associated. Type one or more characters from the opportunity name to select from a list of opportunities whose names contain those characters, or click to select from the full list of opportunities. If the opportunity has not yet been added in iAccess, you can click + New Opportunity at the bottom of the selection list to display the Add Opportunity form and add the opportunity.

This field is not available when you add or edit a touchpoint in the Opportunities area. The opportunity for the touchpoint in that case is the currently selected opportunity.

A touchpoint that you add for a contact or company is also associated with the opportunity, if you specify one in this field, and it displays on the Activities tab in the Opportunities area.

NOTES Enter any notes about the touchpoint (purpose, result, and so on).
Create Kona Task If the touchpoint is associated with an opportunity for which a Kona space has been created, and you are a member of that space, and you want to create a task in Kona related to the touchpoint, select this check box.

When you select this check box, the TASK NAME, ASSIGNEE, and DUE DATE fields display below it.

If your company has not implemented integration with Kona Business, the Add Touchpoint dialog box does not display this check box and the related Kona task fields.

If you are not already logged on to Kona, you are prompted to do so when you select this check box.

TASK NAME Enter a name or description for the task.

This field only displays if you select Create Kona Task.

ASSIGNEE Specify the person to whom you want to assign the task. Click in the field to select from the full list of space members, or type one or more characters from the person's name to select from a list of members of the space whose names contain those characters.

This field only displays if you select Create Kona Task.

DUE DATE If there is a date by which the task should be completed, click in this field, and either enter the date or click and select it on the calendar.

This field only displays if you select Create Kona Task.

Add Click this button to add the touchpoint.

If the touchpoint is associated with an opportunity, it is added to the Touchpoints grid on the Activities tab in the Opportunities area. If it is associated with a contact, it is added to the grids on the Touchpoints tabs in the Contacts and Companies areas. If you selected Create Kona Task, a public task is created for the touchpoint in the opportunity's Kona space.

Cancel Click this button to close the dialog box without adding the touchpoint.
