Data Access Rights (DAR) refers to the data that a user can access in the application. This access is controlled by a Security Data Role, which is defined on the Security Data form. A Security Data Role can have data access restrictions for items such as customer reports, exports, facilities, pay groups, sender names, transaction names, and service instances. If a Security Data Role has only the SUPERVISOR_ADMIN item, the person assigned to the role has no data restrictions.
For example, a supervisor can only see employees that he or she supervises, unless the supervisor’s Security Data Role has the SUPERVISOR_ADMIN item and no other items/data restrictions.
The SUPERVISOR_ADMIN item allows the user to view any members that belong to the following groups:
HIERARCHY (defined on the Hierarchy Elements form/Employee Group Member tab)
SUPERVISOR_MANAGER (defined in the Employee Group form/Employee Group Member tab)
DIRECT_MANAGER (defined in the Employee Group form/Employee Group Member tab)
