The Overview tab in the Opportunities area provides a snapshot of the selected opportunity: description and location, stakeholders in your firm, and a variety of other characteristics of the opportunity.

Description

This unlabeled field displays a description of the opportunity.
To edit or format the description, hover over the field, click
, and make your entry in the Edit Opportunity Description dialog box.

Location
|
This field displays the street address and other location information associated with the opportunity.
To edit or format the description, hover over the field, click
, and make your entry in the Edit Location dialog box.
|
Organization
|
This field displays the
organization within your firm that is responsible for the opportunity.
To select a different
organization, hover over the field and click
next to the field. To remove the
organization without selecting a replacement, hover over the field, click
next to the field, and click
Remove Organization on the Edit
Organization dialog box.

Project Manager
|
This field displays the employee who is the
project manager for the opportunity.
To select a
project manager, hover over the field and click
next to the field. In
NAME on the Edit
Project Manager dialog box, select the employee. The employee you select is also added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and assigned the
Project Manager role.

Principal
|
This field displays the employee who is the
principal for the opportunity.
To select a
principal, hover over the field and click
next to the field. In
NAME on the Edit
Principal dialog box, select the employee. The employee you select is also added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and assigned the
Principal role.

Supervisor
|
This field displays the employee who is the
supervisor for the opportunity.
To select a
supervisor, hover over the field and click
next to the field. In
NAME on the Edit
Supervisor dialog box, select the employee. The employee you select is also added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and assigned the
Supervisor role.

Marketing Coordinator
|
This field displays the employee who is the
marketing coordinator for the opportunity.
To select a different
marketing coordinator, hover over the field and click
next to the field. In
NAME on the Edit
Marketing Coordinator dialog box, select the employee. The employee you select is also added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and assigned the
Project ManagerMarketing Coordinator role.

Proposal Manager
|
This field displays the employee who is the
proposal manager for the opportunity.
To select a different
proposal manager, hover over the field and click
next to the field. In
NAME on the Edit
Proposal Manager dialog box, select the employee. The employee you select is also added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and assigned the
PrincipalProposal Manager role.

Business Development Lead
|
This field displays the employee who is the
business development lead for the opportunity.
To select a different
business development lead, hover over the field and click
next to the field. In
NAME on the Edit
Business Development Lead dialog box, select the employee. The employee you select is also added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and assigned the
Business Development Lead role.

Procurement Details Fields
If
Enable Government Contracting is selected in the General area of the Configuration workspace, procurement-related fields display on the Overview tab. To enter or change the values in procurement fields on the Overview tab, hover over the field, click
, and make your entry in the field that displays. You can also click
on the Opportunities toolbar to open the Edit Opportunity form and edit the procurement fields there.

Award Type

This field displays the award type for the opportunity (for example,
IDIQ - GWAC,
IDIQ - Agency Specific,
BPA).

Duration
|
This field displays a description of the total expected duration of the contract (for example,
1 year base plus 4 x 1 year option).
|
Competition Type
|
This field displays the competition type for the opportunity (for example,
GSA Schedules or
Woman Owned Set-Aside).
|
Master Contract
|
If the opportunity is work that your firm is competing for under an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (IDIQ) or similar "master" contract, this field displays that master contract.

Contract Type
|
This field displays the contract type for the opportunity (for example,
Cost Plus Fixed Fee,
Time and Materials).
|
Solicitation Number
|
This field displays the request for proposal (RFP) number for the opportunity.
|
NAICS
|
This field displays the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and description for the opportunity.

Additional fields

If your firm adds custom fields (fields that are not in the standard version of
Deltek CRM) to this tab, those fields display below the last standard field. To change the values in those fields, hover over the field, click
, and make your entry in the field or dialog box that displays. You can also change them on the Edit Opportunity form.
