Add Values for Field Lists
To add values to the lists of valid values for fields, go to the Lists tab in the Customization area of the Configuration workspace.
As you make entries and selections, your work is automatically saved. However, you must log out and log back in to see the configuration settings reflected elsewhere in Deltek CRM.
Other Ways to Add Values: If you activated the Resource Planning module, you can add field values to some of the lists by importing them from a .CSV file or by importing them using an API. Also, if you import an opportunity from GovWin IQ that has new values for the Award Type, Competition Type, Contract Type, or NAICS fields, the import process automatically adds those new values to the lists for those fields.
- In the Configuration workspace, click on the left edge of the Deltek CRM page to go to the Customization area, and click the Lists tab.
-
To locate the field for which you want to enter values, do any or all of the following:
- Scroll down until the field is visible.
- Type one or more characters from the field name in the Find list field to the right of the grid name to limit the list of field names to those that contain those characters.
- Click in the second field to the right of the grid name and select Opportunities, Companies, Contacts, or Resource Planning to limit the list of field names to those that relate to a particular Deltek CRM area. (If CRM is the only module you have activated, the Resource Planning option does not display on the drop-down list.)
The field lists that are available on the Lists tab vary depending on the Deltek CRM modules you have activated.
- Hover over the row for a field list you want to add values to, and click at the end of the row to display the Settings dialog box for that list.
- Click + Add Entry below the grid to create a blank row in the grid.
-
Enter the new value for the list in
VALUE.
The following lists require more than a single value:
- Opportunity Probability: Enter a probability percentage in VALUE (for example, 60) and a description or explanation in DESCRIPTION (for example, Proposal Stage).
- Opportunity Stage: Enter the possible stages in VALUE, and select the CLOSED STAGE check box for any stage to which opportunities that are no longer actively pursued are assigned (a Lost stage, for example).
- State/Province: First select the country in COUNTRY, and then enter an abbreviation for the state in ABBREVIATION and the full name in VALUE.
- NAICS: If you need to add an NAICS code, enter the numeric code in CODE and the code description in DESCRIPTION.
- Repeat steps 5 - 6 for each value you want to add to the list.
- Click Save.
