Producing direct deposits
unavailable in ajeraCore unless you have the Payroll add-on
Before producing direct deposits for the first time, you must set
up direct deposits.
After you have created a payroll
and paid employees, you can produce
the file that contains direct deposit information.
- From the Manage
menu, click Payroll.
- Multi-company only. Select a company.
- Select the payroll for which
you want to produce direct deposits, and click the Deposit
button.
- When you produce direct
deposits, Ajera creates a direct deposit file that your bank uses to
process automatic deposits to your employee's bank accounts. Ajera formats
this file according NACHAElectronic Payments Association. NACHA develops operating rules and business practices for the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network and for electronic payments in the areas of Internet commerce, electronic bill and invoice presentment and payment (EBPP, EIPP), e-checks, financial electronic data interchange (EDI), international payments, and electronic benefits transfer (EBT). requirements.
In the Direct Deposit Path field, click
, and browse to select the folder where you want to store the file.
Save the file with a name and a file type (if required) as specified by
your bank.
- On the Direct Deposit window,
enter the effective date, which is the date when you want the direct deposits
to occur.
- Enter the reference number
for this direct deposit. Use the guidelines provided by your bank to enter
an acceptable reference number.
- Either leave the File
ID modifier that appears, or change it if needed.
- Click OK.
The Direct Deposit Totals window appears.
- Review the information
about this direct deposit, and click OK.
The Payroll List window reappears. The Direct
Deposited box for the payroll is now selected to show that you produced
the direct deposit file for the payroll.
- Click
Close.
- Send
the direct deposit file to your bank. Check with your bank to determine
if you should email the file to them or send it in some other way.

If you misplace the file or need to recreate it due to changes in the
payroll, simply recreate the file by repeating these instructions. Then, click
the Yes button to create the file again. |
