Inactivating a pay, tax, deduction, or fringeIf you inactivate a pay, tax, deduction, or fringe, it can no longer be used; however, it continues to appear on reports. You cannot inactivate a pay, tax, deduction, or fringe if it is used on a paycheck which has not been paid. You cannot delete or inactivate a Federal tax. However, you can change the description for it.
