About key fields
What are key fields?
Every row in the Ajera database is assigned a number that Ajera uses
to identify associations between records. These numbers are represented
in Inquiry as key fields.
Using key fields
When selecting columns in Inquiry, you can distinguish between a key
field and a regular column name because the word key appears at the end of the
name. For example, you may see both Client and Client Key.
If you select the key field, your inquiry will process more quickly.
For example, it is quicker to link from the Client Key on the Client inquiry
to the Client Key on the Project inquiry instead of linking from the Client
description to the Client description.
