Security

If you want to apply security that is set up in wInsight Analytics to the wInsight Analytics module, set the Security configuration option to Yes.

Purpose

If you have security enabled in wInsight Analytics, you have the option to enable that security in the wInsight Analytics module also. To do that, select Yes in the Security configuration option.

If you have enabled security in wInsight Analytics and set Security to Yes in wInsight Analytics Configuration, the data load process enables security for the wInsight Analytics module and loads wInsight Analytics security information into the data model.

Initial Configuration

Even if you intend to use security, Deltek recommends that you leave Security set to No in wInsight Analytics Configuration until you have the wInsight Analytics module configured the way you want it, and you are ready to make it available to your analytics users. This approach helps you complete the initial implementation more quickly and efficiently. Those evaluating the configuration settings are not restricted by security, so they have full access to the analytics and the data.

Ongoing Administration

If you set this option to Yes to enable security, you normally do not have to change it again. However, you can change it to No at any time if for some reason you need to disable security.

If you do not enable security for the wInsight Analytics module initially but later you decide to do so, you can select Yes at any time. If you have also enabled security in wInsight Analytics, security will be enabled for the wInsight Analytics module the next time the data load process runs.
