Configuration

wInsight Analytics includes a separate application that you use to specify the configuration settings. Configuration settings determine a number of important wInsight Analytics characteristics. They also affect what data is loaded into the analytics data model from the wInsight Analytics database and how that data is transformed for the analytics.

Before you load wInsight Analytics data from the database into the wInsight Analytics module data model the first time, you select the configuration settings. You may also need to modify the information in the wInsight_Analytics_Setup.xlsx file in the <installation location>\Setup folder.

After the implementation is complete and you make wInsight Analytics generally available to users, changes to configuration settings should be minimal. Generally, once you select the initial configuration settings, you only need to change those settings if you decide that your original selection is not what you want or, in some cases, if data changes in the wInsight Analytics database.

In most cases, if you make a configuration change, you can implement that change by running Load_wInsight_Data.bat to do a full load of wInsight data based on the new configuration.
