Use the Expense Type Lookup

The Expense Type lookup displays a list of expense types. This list is based on the project's charge type, Regular or Promotional/Overhead, and the associated expense type and account number that are assigned in Vision. Use this lookup to select the expenses that are associated with the current WBS element.

To use the Expense Type lookup, complete the following steps:
  1. Click in the Expense Type field on the Expenses grid. The Expense Type lookup displays. The expense types that are listed depend on the following charge type settings.
    • Regular project charge type: Direct and Reimbursable expense types
    • Promotional/Overhead project charge type: Indirect expense types
    You can click each column heading to sort by the respective column.
  2. Use the Search feature to further refine your lookup results.
  3. Select an expense type from the list.
  4. Click Finish.
