Planning Command Bar

If your Vision Security role allows you to add plans in Project Planning, the Command Bar displays on the Planning tab when you click the Actions button. Use the Command Bar to work with the plan, including create new, check out, and save.

The availability of the Command Bar options depends on your security access rights, and the current condition of the selected plan. For example, the Convert to Navigator option is only available if the current project has a Vision plan, and you have Full or Add/Modify access rights to Project Planning.

The Actions button changes color to indicate the current state of the selected record.

Icon	Access Rights Required	Description
Save	Full, Add/Modify, Modify Only	Click this icon to save the current Vision Navigator plan information. This action does not publish the plan. This option is available if there are unsaved changes to the current plan.
Save Baseline	Full, Add/Modify, Modify Only	Click this icon to save the current Vision Navigator plan as the baseline. The baseline acts as a snapshot of the plan at a certain point in time and is useful for comparison purposes. You can have only one baseline version for any plan. Any changes you make to the existing baseline will overwrite the previous baseline data.
Publish	Full, Add/Modify, Modify Only	Click this icon to publish the plan and baseline to Vision. This option is available if the current project has a Vision Navigator plan. It saves the current plan and copies its values and the baseline from an unpublished state to a published state. When you publish, Vision Navigator prompts you to confirm that you want to update Vision with the Vision Navigator plan values.
Revert	Full, Add/Modify, Modify Only	Click this icon to return to the most recently used Vision Navigator plan. This option is available if the current project has a Vision Navigator plan. If no plan information has been published to Vision, the plan is returned to the state that it was in when it was first created before information was published. Each time that you revert, the plan information is automatically synchronized.
Delete	Full	Click this icon to clear all resources and plan entries, including the baseline, for both Vision Navigator and Vision. Vision Navigator asks you to confirm the deletion. This option is available if the current project has a Vision Navigator plans.
Create Plan	Full or Add/Modify	Click this icon to create a new Vision Navigator plan. This option is available if a current plan does not exist in Vision Project Planning or in Vision Navigator.
Check Out Plan	Full, Add/Modify, Modify Only	Click this icon to check out the current Vision Navigator plan. For this option to be accessible, the current project must have a Navigator plan, the plan must not be checked out to another user.
Convert to Navigator	Full, Add/Modify, Modify Only	Click this icon to change the current Vision plan to a Vision Navigator plan. For this option to be accessible, the current project must have a Vision plan.
