Enter Timesheet Data Overview
The Timesheet form includes an overview of the timesheet's information, and fields where you can enter specific details for the timesheet charges.
Prerequisite: Open a timesheet.
To enter timesheet data, complete the following steps:
- If there are any pre-defined special categories or standard labor charges, such as vacation, sick time, or holiday leave, these automatically display on the timesheet form. Enter your hours for these categories.
- Enter all other labor charges and associated hours on the timesheet form.

Save.
Navigator confirms that all required fields are complete. If so, the timesheet data is saved but is not submitted. You must click
Submit after you save to submit the timesheet data for approval.
If the required fields are not complete, an error message displays with the focus placed on the field that is missing a value.
After you save a timesheet, you can submit it.
- The Timesheet Form
The Timesheet form displays when you open the Timesheet application. Use this form to enter the information that is required to process your labor charges for individual labor periods. This includes project, phase, task, labor code, and labor category values for each labor charge on your timesheet. It also may include time using special categories with pre-defined project, phase, task, labor code, labor category, and payroll tax locale values. - Use Lookups to Enter Timesheet Data
You can access different lookups in the Navigator Timesheet application. These lookups make entering timesheet data faster and easier. - Use Quick Find to Select a Record
Quick Find searches let you access a record by entering part of a valid data string, such as a record's name or number. - Timesheet Special Categories
Your system administrator can set up special categories for you to use when you enter standard labor charges such as vacation, sick time, or holiday leave. These special categories display in the initial rows of the Timesheet grid each time that you open your timesheet. - View Timesheet Totals
You can change the timesheet view to display totals for the timesheet hours.
