Unmapped Rows in Vision Plans

The Planning grid displays the different levels of a project, which are collectively referred to as the Work Breakdown Strucure (WBS). Every WBS element must then contain an identifier, which is how the plan maps to a project.

There may be situations where a Vision plan contains elements, including resource assignments, that are not mapped correctly. This can result in the inability to convert the plan to a Vision Navigator plan. In this situation, the Plan State Indicator will include a red dotted underline with a tooltip that describes the error. For example:

Some of the potential errors include:
  • The Vision phase or task rows are not mapped to the project's phase or task rows
  • The Vision plan includes Labor Code rows
  • Resource assignments are not at the lowest level of the WBS
  • The Vision plan has Cost or Billing as the Budget Type
  • The Vision plan's Generic Resource method is set to Labor Code
  • A resource was assigned more than one time to the same WBS row
