You can configure how to use the Estimate to Complete and Job to Date dates when you calculate these numbers for your plan. This setting is specific to plans that contain your user name.
The Estimate to Complete is the sum of all planned numbers whose dates are greater than the date basis. For example, if the date basis is today, the Estimate to Complete is the sum of all planned numbers whose dates are tomorrow and beyond.
The Job to Date is the sum of all actual numbers whose dates are less than or equal to the date basis. For example, if the date basis is today, the Job to Date is the sum of all actual numbers whose dates are today or prior to today.
To configure the Estimate to Complete and Job to Date dates, complete the following steps:

From the Vision Navigation menu, click

On the Project Planning toolbar, click
to display the Estimate to Complete and Job to Date Date Basis dialog box.

Select one of the following date options for the Estimate to Complete and Job to Date basis.

Select this option to automatically use the current date.

Select this option to automatically select an end date based on the specified period.

Select this option to select a specific date from the calendar.

Save.
When you open a plan, Vision recalculates all numbers using the new date basis. The current Estimate to Complete and Job to Date information displays in the context area of the Planning form.
