Create a New Project from an Opportunity
You can create a new project from an existing opportunity.
If the opportunity is associated with a project plan, the opportunity data brought into the project record includes all prior client, contact, and employee relationships.
To create a new project from an opportunity, complete the following steps:
- From the Vision Navigation menu, click Info Center > Projects.
- Click New and select Create Project from.
- On the Create Project from dialog box, set the Copy From field to Opportunity.
- In the Opportunity field, click Search to open the Opportunity lookup and select the opportunity that you want to use to create the new project record.
- Complete the remaining fields on the Copy Project from dialog box (for the new project record).
- Click OK. Vision closes the Create Project from dialog box and opens a new project record. Vision enters the opportunity's information in the new project record.
- On the tabs of the Project Info Center form, enter additional information about the new project.
- Click Save.
