Create a Template and Insert Data
To use Vision data in your PowerPoint presentation, you first create a PowerPoint template and insert the desired Vision fields.
To insert Info Center data into a presentation, complete the following steps:
- Display a new PowerPoint presentation.
- Click the Add-Ins tab, click Deltek Vision on the toolbar, and click Create Template.
- On the Create Template dialog box, select the Info Center to use for this template and click Create Template.
- On your PowerPoint slide, select a text box in which you want to add Vision data, and place your cursor in the text box where you want the data to display. You must insert data in a text box. If you do not have a text box on the slide, create one using the PowerPoint menu before you insert Vision data.
- On the Deltek Vision Merge Codes dialog box, select the table from which you want to select a field in Table and select the field in Field.
- If you want standard text either before or after the field, enter the text in Preceding Text or Succeeding Text.
- Click Insert.
- To add other fields, repeat steps 4 – 7.
- In PowerPoint, save the file as a PowerPoint template (.POTX) file.
Postrequisites: After you insert all data fields in the template, use the
Merge Presentation option on the Add-Ins toolbar to build the presentation.
