Event Log Form

The Server Event Log shows events such as messages and errors generated by Vision from the server. You can filter the log by date, server, or application type. You can also specify a limit on the number of records to display.

Location

To display the form, complete the following steps:

1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Process Server > Server Management to display the Process Server Management form.
2. Click the Event Log tab.

Field	Description
Start Date and End Date	To retrieve only those events generated between specific dates, enter the start and end dates.
Records	Enter the maximum number of events that you want to retrieve. Deltek recommends that you specify a number in this field to limit the number of events that Vision retrieves.
Server	Select the application server from which you want to retrieve events.
Event Type	Select the types of events that you want to display: Process Server, Application, or All.
Event Log grid	Use this grid to view the event log's details. For example, this grid shows the type of event, when logged, an event description, the computer on which it occurred, and the source process server.
Description	This field displays the first line of the description of the event selected in the Event Log grid. To view the complete description, click Review.
