Use the Calculated Fields form of General Configuration to create a global calculated field for a specific report. You can then use Role Security to specify the roles that have access to the calculated field. Your security role must have the appropriate menu access for you to be able to create system-wide calculated fields.
To create system-wide calculated fields, complete the following steps:

From the
Vision Navigation menu, click

On the Calculated Fields form, select one of the following actions:

Select the field and click
. On the refreshed form, modify the fields and save the record as a new calculated field record. |
To create a new field from a field currently in the list |

. Select the field, modify it, and save it as a new field.

Complete the fields on the form.

Check Calculation to verify that the formula syntax is valid.

Save.
The field that you add displays in the list of fields on the Column tab of the report. To have the field display on the report, you need to select it on the Columns tab.
