Alerts Configuration Form Overview
The contents of the Alerts Configuration form depend on the type of alert that you create and whether it is a system alert or a company alert. For example, the AR Aging alerts options are quite different from the options for the Timesheet Approval alerts.
If Vision Time and Expense is not installed, the options related to Time and Expense do not display on the form.
- AR Aging Alert Configuration Form
When you set up AR Aging alerts, Vision will notify specified employees when a project reaches certain accounts receivable criteria. For example, you can create an alert that notifies employees when Vision finds invoices between 20 and 60 days old and are over $2,000. This alert is triggered by the process server. - Baseline Change Alert Configuration Form
When you set up Baseline Change alerts, Vision will notify team members when there is a change to the baseline after you save the current version of the plan as the baseline version. This is useful for comparing baseline labor costs to actual labor costs onscreen or in a report. - Budget Milestone Alert Configuration Form
When you set up Budget Milestone alerts, Vision will notify selected employees when budgets of specified plans have reached or exceeded specified milestones. You can also notify users when a plan is first associated with a project, or when a plan's baseline has changed. This alert is triggered by the process server and a change in the database. - EAC Exceeds Baseline Alert Configuration Form
When you set up EAC Exceeds Baseline alerts, Vision will notify team members when the estimate-at-completion hours or amount exceeds the established baseline for the plan. - Expense Report Approval Alert Configuration Form
Use the Expense Report Approval Alert Configuration form of Alerts to select an existing rule for an alert or to create a new rule. - Expense Report Line Item Charge Alert Configuration Form
Use the Expense Report Line Item Charge Alert Configuration form of Alerts to select an existing rule for an alert or to create a new rule. - Expense Report Line Item Rejected Alert Configuration Form

Use this dialog box to create rules for the New Credit Card Transaction Available alert for the appropriate employee groups. - Credit Card Past Due Alert Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to create rules for the Past Due Credit Card Transactions alert for the appropriate employee groups. - Final PO Alert Configuration Form
The Final PO alert allows you to determine how and to whom Vision sends Final PO alerts. Final PO alerts are generated when a purchase order is printed and marked as "Final." This alert will always be sent to the requester, but you can also choose to have it sent to the requester's supervisor. - Inventory Item Request Approved Alert Configuration Form
The Item Request Approved alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Visions sends Item Request Approved alerts. These alerts inform requesters that their item requests have been approved. - Inventory Item Request Rejected Alert Configuration Form
The Item Request Rejected alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Item Request Rejected alerts. These alerts inform requesters that their item requests have been rejected. - Inventory Item Request Submit Alert Configuration Form
The Item Request Submit alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Item Request Submit alerts. These alerts inform item request approvers that item requests have been submitted. - Labor Billing Transfer Alert Configuration Form
Use the Labor Billing Transfer Audit Alert Configuration form to apply or remove an existing labor billing transfer audit alert rule or to create a new rule. - Opportunity Stage Change Alert Configuration Form
When you set up Opportunity Stage Change alerts, Vision will notify selected employees when a stage change occurs within an opportunity. For example, you can set an alert which notifies employees when an opportunity has been awarded. This alert is triggered by a change in the database. - Purchase Orders Approval Alert Configuration Form
The Orders Approval alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Order Approval alerts. If approval is required for orders, then this alert informs the approver of that request for an order. You can use this alert along with the Orders Buyer alert. - Purchase Orders Buyer Alert Configuration Form
The Orders Buyer alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Orders Buyer alerts. An Orders Buyer alert informs a buyer that the order he or she has requested has been approved. You can use this alert along with the Orders Approval alert. - Purchase Orders Rejected Alert Configuration Form
The Orders Rejected alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Orders Rejected alerts. An Orders Rejected alert informs a buyer that the order he or she has requested has been rejected. - Plan Creation Modification or Deletion Alert Configuration Form
When you set up Plan Creation, Modification, or Deletion alerts, Vision notifies specified employees when a new plan is created, modified, or deleted. - Purchasing Price Quote Approval Alert Configuration Form
The Price Quote Approval alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Price Quote Approval alerts. If approval is required for price quotes, then this alert informs the approver of that request for the price quote. - Purchasing Price Quote Buyer Alert Configuration Form
The Price Quote Buyer alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Price Quote Buyer alerts. A Price Quote Buyer alert informs a purchaser (and requester) that the price quote has been approved. - Purchasing Price Quote Rejected Alert Configuration Form
The Price Quote Rejected alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Price Quote Rejected alerts. A Price Quote Rejected alert informs a requester that the price quote has been rejected. - Project Created from Plan Alert Configuration Form
When you set up Project Created from Plan alerts, Vision will notify team members when a new project is created from a plan. This alert can be triggered when a user selects Create Project from Plan from within the plan or when a project is created from a plan through Workflow. - PO Receiving Alert Configuration Form
The Receiving alert allows you to determine who receives Receiving alerts. Receiving alerts are generated when goods are received. - Requisitions Approval Alert Configuration Form
The Requisitions Approval alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Requisitions Approval alerts. If approval is required for purchasing, then this alert informs the approver of that request for the purchase requisition. You can use this alert along with the Requisitions Buyer alert. - Requisitions Buyer Alert Configuration Form
Use the Requisitions Buyer alert to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Requisitions Buyer alerts. This alert informs the purchaser and requester when the requisition is approved. You can use this alert along with the Requisitions Approval alert. - Purchasing Requisitions Rejected Alert Configuration Form
Use the Requisitions Rejected alert to determine to whom, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Requisitions Rejected alerts. This alert informs a requester when the requisition is rejected. - Resource Assignment Alert Configuration Form
You can set up a Resource Planning Assignment Alert so that a message is sent to the assigned resource's supervisor as well as the resource, unless the supervisor is the one who makes the assignment. - Resource Utilization Alert Configuration Form
When you set up Resource Utilization alerts, Vision notifies team members when the resource utilization percentages exceed, or fall short of, percentage thresholds that you specify for a plan. This alert is triggered by the process server. - Timesheet Approval Alert Configuration Form
Use the Timesheet Approval Alert Configuration form to apply or remove an existing timesheet approval alert rule or to create a new rule. - Timesheet Line Item Charge Alert Configuration Form
Use the Timesheet Line Item Charge Alert Configuration form of Alerts to apply or remove an existing timesheet line item charge alert rule or to create a new rule. - Timesheet Due Alert Configuration Form
Use the Timesheet Due Alert Configuration form of Alerts to apply or remove an existing timesheet due alert rule or to create a new rule. Before you create Timesheet Due alert rules, you need to create employee groups to which you want to apply the rule. - Timesheet Line Item Rejected Alert Configuration Form

The Transaction Entry File Approved alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Visions sends Transaction Entry File Approved alerts. These alerts inform requesters that their requests have been approved. - Transaction Entry File Submitted Alert Configuration Form
The Transaction Entry File Submitted alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Visions sends Transaction Entry File Submitted alerts. These alerts inform request approvers that requests have been submitted. - Transaction Entry Form Rejected Alert Configuration Form
The Transaction Entry Form Rejected alert allows you to determine who, when, and under what conditions Vision sends Transaction Entry Form Rejected alerts. These alerts inform requesters that their requests have been rejected. - WBS Level Added or Deleted from Plan Alert Configuration Form
When you set up WBS Level Added or Deleted from Plan alerts, Vision will notify team members when the a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) level is added or deleted from a plan.
