If you have labor, expense, or unit transactions that you do not want to bill at any time, you can mark these transactions to be deleted from Interactive Billing.
You can change the status of a transaction from held, billable, or written off to deleted, which stops the transaction amount that you specify from ever being billed on any invoice.
-
When you delete a transaction, you are not actually deleting the transaction from the database; you are electing not to bill it. The transaction still exists as posted for project control and other accounting purposes, but is marked in the database as deleted for billing purposes.
-
You can delete either the entire amount or a portion of the amount. If you delete a portion of the amount, Vision creates a new line on the Labor, Expenses, or Units tab with the amount to make not billable. The original transaction line decreases by the amount marked as Delete. To delete a portion of a transaction amount, you must select the transaction individually and click Delete.
-
You can delete a group of transactions. If you select multiple transactions to delete, you must delete the entire amount of each transaction. When you select a group of transactions to be marked as deleted, you can select any combination of project, phase, or task.
-
You must belong to a role with the proper access rights to mark billing transactions to be deleted.
If you want to change the billing status of many transactions, you may be able to do that more efficiently using the Update Billing Status form.
