Changes to the Approved For Use in Processing Validations for the Projects Hub

Performance has been enhanced with these changes:

• The Project Currency, Billing Currency, and Organization fields are dependent on the Approved For Use in Processing checkbox and are locked after you save the project record with Approved For Use in Processing selected.

• The Approved For Use in Processing checkbox is no longer disabled if the WBS is in use. To improve performance, Vantagepoint now runs the WBS In Use validation when you attempt to clear the checkbox. If the WBS is in use, you cannot clear the checkbox and the related fields remain locked.

Changes to Expense Reports That are Scheduled for Posting

The changes below are designed to improve the scheduling of expense reports for posting.

• Checks When Scheduling To Post: When you schedule an expense report for posting, Vantagepoint now checks to see if the expense report is already scheduled to be posted before allowing you to proceed with the task. Vantagepoint also checks for any scheduled process server job that includes the expense report and if the process server job is yet to be completed. If the expense report is already scheduled to be posted, or is included in a process server job that is yet to be completed, Vantagepoint displays an error message if you try to schedule the same expense report for posting. The error message details the following information:

• Name of the expense report.

• Employee ID of the creator of the expense report.

• The date specified in the expense report.

• Default Value of the Description Field: When you schedule an expense report for posting in Transaction Center »  Time and Expense Posting, Vantagepoint now prefills the Description field on the Schedule Dialog box with TransactionPosting/PostExpenseReportsPosting. You can change this default value, to clearly describe the process server job. The default value of the Description field still displays in the following areas:

• In the Queue Processes grid in Utilities »  Process Server »  Queue Manager

• On the Notification Center dialog box and the Notification Details dialog box

Defect 2144243: If you changed the dates for a project on the Billing Session Options dialog box, after you made changes to other projects without leaving Interactive Billing, the dates were incorrectly applied to the other projects the next time that you left Interactive Billing and then returned to the application.

Defect 2163261: In dashparts with the AR Detail dashpart base, the Invoice Total column displayed a grand total value even for those with 0.00 as the value for subtotals.

Defect 2131434: When your role had limited record level access for projects, a performance issue occurred when you accessed Planning.

Defect 2123692: When Enable Overall Revenue was enabled at the WBS1 (project) level and you added new WBS2 (phase) levels or WBS3 (task) levels to the project, the Enable Overall Revenue Limit value from the parent level was copied to the new WBS2 or WBS3 levels.

Defect 2139761: When you used search filters on the Timesheets form, performance issues occurred as you added, copied, and submitted timesheets, and there were significant delays in returning search results.

Defect 2167510: When timesheet details were deleted from an approval record, you could not access the Timesheets form and you received the following error message: "The operation has timed out."

Defect 2003818: This issue occurred when you specified a value for the Overhead Rate in Settings » Accounting » Overhead Allocation and then entered a value in the Overhead % field on the Labor tab of the Plan Settings dialog box. When you added unposted hours to the plan, the EAC Overhead value on the Labor tab did not calculate the unposted time correctly.

Defect 2155050: The upgrade script for Vantagepoint was modified to resolve a data issue caused by Defect 20764400.

Defect 2093086: When you posted an expense report, an out-of-balance posting could result. To prevent this, a validation check was included at the end of each expense report posting to ensure that the entire batch was balanced. If not, the batch was marked as incomplete and the process did not proceed.
