UDT09

You can link an UDT09 to UDT01s, UDT02s, and a UDT03. Because of this, you can use UDT09 for many purposes. Common configurations either use UDT09 as some type of sub number to the prime charge (UDT01 and/or UDT02), or as some type of organization field that can be filtered based on what charge is used or can filter the charge based on its value.

This field is the suffix portion of the account/contract number, and it is linked to UDT01. It is also linked to UDT03 so that Departments and Transaction codes can be limited depending on the suffix charged. 

 

This field is the Organization. It can be linked to UDT01 or UDT02. 

When do I use the UDT09 screen?

Use this tabbed screen to add, edit, delete, and link items for UDT09.

The UDT09 screen tabs

The tabs available in this screen are Basic Information, UDT01 Links, UDT02 Links, and UDT03 Links.

Use the first tab to provide basic information on the item; use the three other tabs to provide links to other tables. Please note that one or all link tabs may be disabled if the system has been so configured. 

You cannot delete a UDT09 that is being used on a timesheet line, an expense report, or an expense authorization.

If you are adding a new UDT09, you will be able to access only the Basic Information tab until you select Save.
