Leave is categorized by leave types. For example, "Vacation" is a leave type. You can have different vacation rules based on the type of employee, but the employee is still under one leave type - Vacation. You will need multiple leave types for vacation only if an employee has two separate balances.
GCS Premier also has leave types. When exported to Deltek Time\Expense\Self Service, the short description from the Payroll Information screen is used as the leave type code. The long description from the Payroll Information screen is used for the leave type description. |
Costpoint also has leave types. You must set up your Costpoint leave types in Deltek Time. You can set up additional leave types in Deltek Time for tracking purposes, if needed. |
Use this screen when you initialize Deltek Time. You should set up leave types before you set up timesheet classes.
In Deltek Time, you can track leave by UDT01, UDT02, or UDT10. For this help screen, we have chosen to track leave by UDT10.
The tabs available in this screen are: Basic Information and UDT10 Links.
The UDT10 Links tab will not be available for a new Leave Type until you save the information on the Basic Information tab.
