Use the Charge Trees tab to add, edit, or delete charge trees. Also use this tab to drill down into the existing charge trees.
A graphical charge tree representation will display at the top of the screen if you drill down into a tree and its branches. Each level above the current level displays as a hyperlink in the graphical charge tree. Select any of these links to display the information at that level.
Use the Sort By drop-down box to select the order in which the charge tree information will display. The available options are "Code" or "Description." If you change the Sort By value, the table will display in the newly chosen option.
To edit or delete a Charge Tree or Charge/Branch, select the checkbox to the left of the row that you want to edit or delete. Then select the Edit Charge Tree, Edit Charge/Branch, Delete Charge Tree, or Delete Charge/Branch hyperlink.
To drill down to the charge branch information for a charge tree, select the "+" button to the left of the charge tree row. The tab will display branches for the tree selected.
This non-editable column displays all charge tree descriptions in the system.
This non-editable column displays all charge tree codes in the system.
This non-editable checkbox will be selected if this charge tree has restricted access. If the checkbox is not selected, there are no restrictions for this tree at this level.
Click Add Charge Tree to add a charge tree to the system.
Enter up to a 50-character, uppercase alphanumeric charge tree code. Each code must be unique.
Enter up to 30 characters for a charge tree description.
Select this checkbox to restrict access to the charge tree. After selecting the OK pushbutton, you can select this charge tree from the table to access the Restrictions tab. In the Restrictions tab, you specify which employee groups can have access to this charge tree.
If you do not select this checkbox, the charge tree will not be available.
Select OK to add the charge tree to the system. The charge tree will display in the table.
Select Cancel to close the dialog without adding the charge tree.
Select a charge tree row in the table by selecting the checkbox in the row to the left of the "+" button. Then click Edit Charge Tree to edit the charge tree.
This non-editable field displays the charge tree code that you are editing.

Select this checkbox to restrict access to the charge tree. After selecting the OK pushbutton, you can select this charge tree from the table to access the Restrictions tab. In the Restrictions tab, you specify which employee groups have access to this charge tree.
If you do not select this checkbox, the charge tree will be available.
Select OK to update the charge tree in the system. The charge tree will be updated in the display table.
If you change the Restrict Access checkbox from selected to not selected, the system will display the following confirmation message: "Do you want to remove group restrictions from lower level charge branches?"
If you select Yes, all employee group restrictions that are set up for the charge tree and in the lower branches will be removed. If there are branches in the tree with the Restrict Access checkbox selected, they will be updated to unchecked.
If you select No, the lower branch level restrictions will remain in place and only the employee group restrictions associated with the tree level will be removed.
Select Cancel to close the dialog without updating the charge tree.
Choose the charge tree or charge trees that you wish to delete by selecting the checkbox(es) to the left of the row(s) that you wish to delete. Then click Delete Charge Tree to delete the row(s).
The system will display the following confirmation message: "Are you sure you want to delete tree(s) and all lower levels?"
If you select Yes, the system will delete the charge trees and all lower levels. The charge tree will also be removed for any employee who has it set up as a favorite.
If you select No, nothing will be deleted.
