Each link tab displays a table of the linked items of the current UDT02. Use the UDT07 Links tab to add and/or delete UDT07 links. Different column headings and data will display in the table, depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links.
The Add Link function will also perform differently, depending on the configuration setting for the type of link.
The number of linked items displayed is determined by the number supplied in the Max Table Rows field in the General Options tab of the General Configuration screen. If there are more linked items to be displayed, the More pushbutton will appear on the bottom of the screen.
This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT07s.
This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.
This non-editable column displays the rate 1 value for the currently linked UDT07s. This column will display only if you selected the Use checkbox for Rate 1 in the User-Defined Rates group box of the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen, and its title will be as defined in the Label field.
This non-editable column displays the rate 2 value for the currently linked UDT07s. This column will display only if you selected the Use checkbox for Rate 2 in the User-Defined Rates group box of the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen, and its title will be as defined in the Label field.
Select the More pushbutton to display the next set of linked items. If you select linked items before selecting the More pushbutton, the system will display the following message: "Current selection of records will be lost. Do you want to continue?"
If you select Yes, the next set of linked items will display and the current selection will be cleared. If you select No, the current selection of linked items will remain.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked wildcard UDT07s.
This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.
This non-editable column displays the rate 1 value for the currently linked UDT07s. This column will display only if you selected the Use checkbox for Rate 2 in the User-Defined Rates group box of the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen, and its title will be as defined in the Label field.

Use the Lookup pushbutton to the right of the field to select a UDT07 to link to the UDT02. You can also enter the UDT07 manually. If you are using the Costpoint multicompany feature, the UDT07s that display in the lookup will be those that are associated with the selected Costpoint Company.
The description will be automatically populated after you select the UDT07. You can edit this field to make it specific for this link.
If you have selected the Use checkbox for Rate 1 or Rate 2 in the User-Defined Rates group box of the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen, this group box will display one or both of the rate fields. The titles of the fields will be as defined in the Label field. See Special Topic: Labor Costing for more detail.
Enter the rate 1 rate that you wish to use for this UDT07 link. This field will be available if you are calculating Rate 1. The range is "-99999999.99999" to "99999999.99999."
Enter the rate 2 rate that you wish to use for this UDT07 link. This field will be available if you are calculating Rate 2. The range is "-99999999.99999" to "99999999.99999."
Select OK to add the UDT07 link to the database. The link will display in the UDT07 table.
Select Cancel to close the dialog without adding the link.
Select the Add Link function to bring up the Add UDT07 Wildcard Link dialog.
The current UDT02 value is the default for this field. You can edit this field to use the "%" or "_" wildcard characters.
Use the Lookup pushbutton to the right of the field to select a UDT07 to link to the UDT02. You can also enter the UDT07 manually.
The description will be defaulted from the UDT07. You can edit this field to make it specific for this link.

Select the UDT07 link that you wish to edit by clicking on the button to the left of the row. Then select the Edit Link function to bring up the appropriate dialog.

Select the UDT07 link or links that you wish to delete by selecting the checkbox to the left of the row. To delete all of the links in the table, select the checkbox in the upper left corner of the table. This will select all of the rows. Then select the Delete Link function to delete the row(s).
