Select the locale that you wish to use when you log on to Deltek Time & Expense with ESS. The locale is a combination of the country code and language code. When you change the locale, the language for field labels on the login screen change to match the locale you selected.
The default country code and language code "United States/English" displays the first time you enter this screen.
The other language/locale choices include the following:
Deutsch/Deutschland
English/Australia
English/United Kingdom
English/United States
Espanol/Espana
Espanol/Estados Unidos
Le Francais/La France
Nederlands/Nederland
If your Web browser accepts cookies, Deltek Time and Expense with Employee Self Service retains your locale/language preferences for future use. Otherwise, English is the default language.
Select the type of notification you wish to receive when workflow events are sent. The available options are "Alert" and "Email." The selection in the Notification Method field in the General Options tab of the General Configuration screen defaults here when you initially enter this screen.
Use the drop-down box to select the time zone in which you reside. The list contains all of the time zones currently in use around the world. When you enter timesheets or expense reports, the system will compare the time zone to the server’s time zone to determine whether or not you are allowed charge time against the charges you have selected.
This option controls whether the icons that display in the Time & Expense with ESS toolbar display with text or without.
If you are new to Time & Expense with ESS, displaying the text will help you identify the function of each icon. After you familiar with the icons, you can hide the text by selecting Icon Only from the drop-down menu.
In the event that you forget your password for Time & Expense with ESS, you may be allowed to reset it yourself by correctly answering a predefined security question. If your user profile allows this, you will provide the correct answer the first time you log in.
If you later need to change the answer, you can do so by typing the new answer in the Answer field.
Deltek Workforce enables employees to assign their tasks to another individual or individuals when they are unable to perform those tasks themselves. They can narrow down the list of who does which task by Employee Group and then by individual person. For example, if a supervisor is going on vacation for a week, he can delegate his timesheet approvals to one person and his expense report and expense authorization approvals to another.
If you are authorized to do so, use the Delegation area to select individuals who can perform tasks on your behalf.
