Costpoint Conversion (by Editors)

Use the following steps to take a newly converted project and make it "Deltek" beautiful!

To Reformat a Costpoint Project:

  1. Copy a converted project from the H drive.

  2. Open the project in RH.

  3. Import the following topics from the DeltekTemplate project. Ensure that you have a recent copy of the DeltekTemplate copied locally. To import topics, Select File, Import, HTML File and browse to the local DeltekTemplate project.

  1. Import the skin from the DeltekTemplate.

  2. In the Projects pane, right-click on the Skins folder and select Import.

  3. Browse to DeltekTemplate, ! SkinSubFolder!, Deltek and select Deltek.skn.

  4. Click Open. The skin appears, click OK.

  5. Click OK again to save it as Deltek.skn.

  1. Import the toggle.js (javascript used for Show/Hide functionality) from the DeltekTemplate as a new Baggage file.

  2. In the Projects pane, right-click on the Baggage Files folder and select New Baggage File.

  3. Browse to the DeltekTemplate and select the toggle.js file.

  4. Click Open.

  1. Delete the Costpoint style sheet and apply the Deltek Costpoint style sheet (DeltekCostpoint.css) to all topics. To apply the style sheet:

  2. Select the Topics view on the right pane.

  3. Select the displayed topics using Shift/Shift-click.

  4. You may not be able to grab all topics at once. You may have to repeat this process for groups of topics (RH flaw).

  5. Click the Properties icon and select the Appearance tab.

  6. Select DeltekCostpoint.css in the Style Sheet box and click OK.

  1. Scroll through the help topics and do the following:

  2. Remove all Summary labels.

  3. Remove all Timing labels.

  4. Remove any Back buttons.

  5. Retag bullets with the BlueBullet style as needed.

  6. Fix numbering if needed.

  7. If you see any fields or topics marked as "Needs text" replace this disclaimer with the following:

  1. Insert Browse Sequences? Select Tools, Browse Sequence Editor, AutoCreate Using TOC, 0, OK.

  2. Compile the help with the correct skin and settings:

  3. Select File, Generate Primary Layout (WebHelp).

  4. Select Deltek from the Select Skin drop-down and click Next.

  5. In the Toolbar Buttons box, select the Print, Back, and ShowHide buttons.

  6. Select Browse Sequences.

  7. Make sure the Search Input Field in Toolbar is not selected.

  8. Click Finish.

  1. Delete the sample topics from Deltek Template preceded by "DT_."
