Time & Expense with ESS provides a custom dialog box that you can use to store additional information with the timesheet and to initiate additional processing when a timesheet containing overtime hours is approved.
The custom dialog box contains three option buttons from which the approving person can select. When that person clicks OK in the dialog box, the timesheet is approved and the option selected is stored with the timesheet data. (If he or she clicks Cancel, the dialog box closes, and the approval does not take place.)
You can set your system up so that the Timesheet Post-Approve stored procedure provides additional processing based on the option selected in the custom dialog box. For more on this stored procedure, refer to the Time & Expense with ESS Technical Guide.
You can also change the following for the dialog box:
Dialog box name (default is "Custom Overtime Dialog")
Instruction text displayed in the dialog box
Option labels (defaults are "Option 1," "Option 2," and "Option 3")
Contact your Deltek consultant for assistance with these configuration tasks.
You implement the custom overtime dialog box on a timesheet class basis.
To use the dialog box for a timesheet class, select the Custom Overtime Dialog check box on the Basic Information tab of the Timesheet Classes screen. When a timesheet containing overtime for an employee with the timesheet class is approved, the custom dialog box opens.
