UDT06

UDT06 has no special attributes. You can use UDT06 to capture information that does not depend on any of the other UDTs.

UDT06 is not mapped to any value. This makes it a great place to store values by which you can sort labor reports. Customer PO number is an example.

UDT06 is used for the GLC field. You will use it only if employees need to change their GLC code in the system or if reports using the GLC code are required.

When do I use the UDT06 screen?

Use this screen to add, edit, and delete items for UDT06.

UDT06

Enter a 20-character, uppercase alphanumeric UDT06 code. Each code must be unique.

The number of characters you enter cannot exceed the size set up in the General Configuration screen for UDT06

Description

Enter up to 30 characters for a UDT06 description. You should make descriptions as short as possible and properly capitalize them because they are used in drop-down boxes and as column headings for reports and inquiries.

Costpoint Company

This field will display only if you selected the Costpoint Multicompany checkbox in the Miscellaneous tab of the General Configuration screen. See Special Topic: Costpoint Multicompany for details on this feature.

If the field displays, use the drop-down box to select the Costpoint company name that you wish to associate with this UDT06. For a new UDT06, the first Costpoint company in the list will be the default value. If Costpoint Multicompany is turned on and you are searching existing records, the first value to search on will be "Costpoint Company."

Active

Select this checkbox if the UDT06 is active. The default value for this checkbox is checked.

You cannot delete a UDT06 code that is being used on a timesheet line or on an expense report.
