UDT02 Links

Each link tab displays a table of the current UDT09s linked items. Use the UDT02 Links tab to add and/or delete UDT02 links. Different column headings and data will display in the table, depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links.

The Add Link function will also perform differently, depending on the configuration setting for the type of link.

The number of linked items displayed is determined by the number supplied in the Max Table Rows drop-down box in the General Options tab of the General Configuration screen. If there are more linked items to be displayed, the More pushbutton will appear on the bottom of the screen.

UDT02 Table (Direct Link)

These columns will display if you are using Direct links.

UDT02

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT02s.

Description

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT02 descriptions.

More

Select the More pushbutton to display the next set of linked items. If you select linked items before selecting the More pushbutton, the system will display the following confirmation message: "Current selection of records will be lost. Do you want to continue?"

If you select Yes, the next set of linked items will display and the current selection will be cleared.  If you select No, the current selection of linked items will remain.

UDT02 Table (Wildcard Link)

These columns will display if you are using Wildcard links.

UDT09

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT09.

UDT02

This non-editable column displays the currently linked wildcard UDT02s.

More

Select the More pushbutton to display the next set of linked items. If you select linked items before selecting the More pushbutton, the system will display the following confirmation message: "Current selection of records will be lost. Do you want to continue?"

Add Link (Direct Link)

This section describes how the Add Link function works for Direct links.

Select the Add Link function to add direct UDT02 links to the UDT09. A Lookup dialog will display in which you can select UDT02 records that have the same Costpoint Company as selected on the Basic Information tab. Select the button to the left of the rows in the Lookup dialog, then select OK to add the UDT02 links to the UDT09.

Add Link (Wildcard Link)

This section describes how the Add Link function works for Wildcard links.

Select the Add Link function to bring up the Add UDT02 Wildcard Link dialog.

UDT09

The current UDT09 value is the default for this field. You can edit this field to use the "%" or "_" wildcard characters.

UDT02

Enter the UDT02 that you want to link, including wildcard characters. For example, enter "%123" to include all projects that end in 123.  Select the Options pushbutton for more examples.

OK

Select OK to add the UDT02 link to the database. The link will display in the UDT02 table.

If you do not enter a wildcard for the UDT02, the UDT02s Costpoint Company must match the selected UDT09s Costpoint Company.

Cancel

Select Cancel to close the dialog without adding the link.

Select the Options pushbutton to see additional wildcard examples.

Delete Link

Select the UDT02 link or links that you wish to delete by selecting the checkbox to the left of the row. To delete all of the links in the table, select the checkbox in the upper left corner of the table. This will select all of the rows. Then select the Delete Link function to delete the row(s).
