If appropriate, select an item from the Association drop-down list, which lists all of your career paths and active appraisal items.

Goals Use this section to select the competencies and skills that this development item aims to develop.

You do not need to select any competencies or skills, but if you do, your choices determine the courses and other activities that are listed in the Recommendation section below.

Recommendations The Recommendations section has up to four tabs: Courses, Development Plan Suggestion, Library Resources, and Mentors. You may not see all of these tabs if your company does not use all of the Deltek Talent Management modules.

The recommendations are based on the competencies and skills that you selected above, if your Administrator has enabled Development Plan Suggestions.

You can select as many or as few recommendations as you wish to include in the development plan.

Courses You can select recommended courses to include in the development plan.

You can also click Find and Add Courses to find courses that are not in the recommended list and add them to the development plan.

Development Plan Suggestions This tab provides descriptions of the main factors that make up each of the competencies that you selected. For example, the competency called Action Orientation might include descriptions for urgency, planning, and commitment.

Select the descriptions that best apply to this development plan. The descriptions will be included in the text of the development plan.

Library Resources This tab lists resources in your organization’s learning library that are relevant to the competencies and skills that you selected. These might be books, videos, or other materials.
