Contents of the Add Development Plan Screen
Use the fields to add a development plan with goals associated with concrete tasks that must be completed to reach those goals.
Columns
Field | Description |
---|---|
Create From Template | This is the template the plan is based on. When creating a plan, if no value is selected in this field the user will create the plan from scratch, and not from a template. The templates that display at the top of the list are those that match the logged in user's employee associations (job profile, location, group or role). This field is only visible if the Development Plan Templates feature is enabled for your group. Development Plan Templates are created by Administrators. |
Plan Name | This is the name that the plan creator gave the plan (for example, Observation and Feedback Skills). Click this name to see details about the plan, including all of the courses and other activities in the plan. |
Plan Type |
This is the reason for the development plan:
|
Start Date | This is the date on which you are supposed to begin performing the tasks in the development plan. |
Target Date | This is the date on which you are supposed to finish performing the tasks in the development plan. If your plan is based on a template, this field is populated with the latest date entered in the Goal End Date fields for individual template plan items. |
For | This lists the name of the employee who the plan is being created for. This will either be the logged in user's name if the plan is being self-created, or the name of the selected direct or indirect report |
Copy Development Plan to Additional Direct Reports |
You can select multiple direct reports from the list to create the same development plan for the selected employees. This option displays only for managers and administrators with direct reports. |
Save | Click Save to save the plan and move to the New Plan Item Screen, where you can add a goal or objective and link concrete tasks to help achieve the goal. |
Manage Development Plans | This button brings you to the Development Plans Screen, where you can view all plans created by you or by a manager or administrator for you. |
