Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Add External Training Information Manually

The Add External Training screen allows you to add external training information one at a time.

To add external training information manually:

  1. Click Learning > External Training.
  2. On the External Training screen, click Add External Training.
  3. Enter information in the following fields.
    Field Description
    Name Enter the name of the external training.
    Type Enter the type or medium used to deliver the external training.
    Description Add a brief description of the external training.
    URL Enter the URL of the institution that offers the external training, if applicable.
    School/Organization From the drop-down list options, select the name of the educational or professional organization that offers the external training.
    Address/Contact Info Enter the address of the educational or professional organization that offered the external training.
    Cost Enter the tuition fee or cost amount of the external training.
    Educational Unit From the drop-down list options, select the educational unit type awarded by the external training. This field replaces the fields Credit and CEUs.

    You can enter multiple educational units. Click the Add Education Units button to create a new row and populate the Education Unit, Education Unit Category , and Educational Unit Value fields in the resulting new row.

    Educational Unit Category From the drop-down list options, select the educational unit category.
    Educational Unit Value Enter the number of units earned upon completion of the course.
    Grade Enter the grade received for this external training.
    Start Date Enter the value or click to select the date when the external date was scheduled to start.
    Completion Date Enter the value or click to select the date when the external training was completed.
    Degree Type If a degree is awarded upon completion of the external training, select the degree type from the drop-down list options.
    Comments Enter notes or comments about the external training, if applicable.
  4. Click Save.
