New Features and Enhancements

This section provides a summary of all new general features and enhancements included in this release.

Core Framework

Rehire Functionality for Clients Without Core HR

Users without Core HR can now rehire terminated employees directly within the system. This feature is designed for clients without ATS or HRIS user integration, providing a streamlined way to reactivate prior employees. A Rehire link will appear next to terminated employees on the following pages:
  • Main User Management page (Administration » Your Organization » Users)
  • View Offboarded Users (Administration » Your Organization » View Off-Boarded Users)
Disabled by default, this new feature is controlled through Administration » Global Settings » System Administration » Features » Core » User Management » Rehire Former Employee. The links will display for terminated employees who are eligible for rehire only when the Core HR superfeature is disabled and the Rehire Former Employee is enabled. Clicking the Rehire link displays a Rehire form indicating the user's first and last names, and pre-populated fields with any current information available, namely:
  • Job Title
  • Organizational Unit (with three levels)
  • Pay Rate
  • Rate Type
  • Currency
  • Location
  • E-mail
  • Manager
Upon saving the form, a Core HR-style rehire activity is created, including the following details:
  • Reason for hire: Rehire
  • User: ID of the logged-in user performing the action
  • Rehire Date: Current system date
The employee becomes an active internal user and is added to default user groups immediately. After saving, the user is redirected to the originating page (User Management or View Offboarded Users) with a success or failure message displayed. A Rehire link will also be available on the Edit User screen for terminated employees. Clients can provide updated employment details, creating a new employment period for the rehire.
This feature simplifies the rehire process for clients without Core HR, ensuring terminated employees can be reactivated efficiently.

Updated Sender (From:) address for Token Expiry Notifications and the Integration Deploy Report to TalentIntegrations@deltek.com

The From: email addresses related to integrations have been updated to TalentIntegrations@deltek.com. This affects the From: email address for Token Expiry Notifications and the Integration Deploy Report. You may need to make changes to your email settings, for example, updating Microsoft Outlook rules and/or ensuring this new email address is added to your allow list./div>
The following email settings are replaced with TalentIntegrations@deltek.com during migration:
  • integrations@hrsmart
  • hrsmart_integrations@deltek

Core HR

Improved Handling of Unsupported National ID Countries

When a user selects a National ID country that is not supported, the National Identifier field is now automatically disabled and accompanied by an informative message. This prevents confusion, saves time, and ensures users are aware upfront that the selected country is unsupported. The change occurs instantly without requiring a page reload, and the message is translatable into multiple languages for global accessibility.

Integrations

Update Rehire Detection Logic in Middleware for Integrations

We have updated the rehire detection logic to no longer use the hua_user_former_employee flag to determine whether an imported user is a rehire. We now use a more reliable identifier, currentER.rehireDate, to determine if rehire date is populated with a valid date. If it is, the user is considered a rehire and the data is sent in the API for user updates.

Performance

DLZ Transition to Deltek Learning Hub

All Deltek Learning Zone (DLZ) links, including custom links or favorites created by users within the Deltek Talent Management application now point to the Deltek Learning Hub (DLH). The DLH will house all of Deltek’s training materials, including Online Help, Videos, Guides, Release Notes and Knowledge Base articles, with DLZ content among the first ones available in a phased rollout. Here are some of the DLH's key benefits:
  • Comprehensive Content: Find all product content in one place, including documentation, learning assets, videos, and knowledge base articles.
  • Access from Your Deltek Product: Access the Deltek Learning Hub without leaving your Deltek product.
  • Advanced Search: Explore all content effortlessly with our advanced AI-powered search.

Software Issues Resolved

This section includes software fixes in this release.

Core Framework

Bulk User Upload Column Requirements when Updating Users

Deltek Tracking Number: 2082996
Description: When non-Core HR customers updated users via the bulk user upload, the Hire Date and Job Code fields were incorrectly required. With this change, customers can remove the Hire Date and Job Code columns from the User Upload file and upload updates to existing users (such as manager, address, or user group changes). Please note the bulk user upload still requires hire date, job code, and related information when creating new users.

Interview Notification Emails Rejected

Deltek Tracking Number: 2528104
Description: When you sent interview notification emails with PDF attachments, the emails were rejected by Amazon SES due to malformed MIME Content-Type headers.

Deltek Tracking Number: 2381047
