Rehire an Employee

Follow these steps to rehire a terminated employee who is eligible for rehire.

The Rehire option will display for terminated employees who are eligible for rehire only when the Core HR superfeature is disabled and the Rehire Former Employee is enabled through Administration > Global Settings > System Administration > Features > Core > User Management > Rehire Former Employee.

To rehire an employee:

  1. On the Users or View Offboarded screen, locate the name of the terminated employee and click in the Actions column.
    This will display the Rehire screen.
  2. Complete the following fields:

    Job Title

    This is the job title of the employee for the rehire.

    Organization Unit

    These are the units (up to three) under which your employee may be included.

    Pay Rate

    This is the employee's salary.

    Rate Type This is the employee's pay classification.
    Currency

    This is the currency of the employee's salary.

    Location

    This is the employee's location.

    E-mail

    This is the employee's e-mail.

    Manager

    This is the employee's manager.

  3. Click Save.
    The employee becomes an active internal user and is added to default user groups immediately.
