Contents of the Add Development Plan Template Screen
The Add Development Plan Template screen is the first screen in the process of creating a Development Plan Template. Enter and select details on this screen to set the type of plan, and associate the template with one or more job titles, locations, or user groups. Move to the next screen to define one or more specific objectives to associate with the template.

This is the reason for the development plan:

| Job Title | Select the jobs that this type of plan may apply to. |
| Location | Select locations that this type of plan may apply to. |
| Group Name | Select the user groups, or roles, this plan may apply to. |
Note: Associations (Job Title, Location, Group Name) will help match a template to a particular user or type of user by placing the template higher in the list of available templates on the Development Plan screen. Selected associations display beneath the template field on the Development Plan screen when a template is selected.

After you create a new development plan template and click Save and Continue on the Add Development Plan Template Screen, you identify the objectives, add an item for each goal, and choose the individual training courses and other activities to help meet each goal. This screen contains the following fields and options.
