  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Add Development Plan Template Screen

The Add Development Plan Template screen is the first screen in the process of creating a Development Plan Template. Enter and select details on this screen to set the type of plan, and associate the template with one or more job titles, locations, or user groups. Move to the next screen to define one or more specific objectives to associate with the template.

Field Description
Plan Name Enter a name for the plan template.
Plan Type
This is the reason for the development plan:
  • Gap Fill: This type of plan addresses the need of an employee who requires additional development to fulfill his or her potential within an organization. The development plan will fill gaps in the employee’s knowledge.
  • Growth: This type of plan addresses the need of an employee who is ready to move into another position, but lacks certain abilities or knowledge. The development plan will expand the employee’s knowledge base.
Job Title Select the jobs that this type of plan may apply to.
Location Select locations that this type of plan may apply to.
Group Name Select the user groups, or roles, this plan may apply to.
Note: Associations (Job Title, Location, Group Name) will help match a template to a particular user or type of user by placing the template higher in the list of available templates on the Development Plan screen. Selected associations display beneath the template field on the Development Plan screen when a template is selected.
