Remove a Lock from an Object on the Locks Form

Use this procedure to remove a lock from an object on the Locks form.

To remove the lock on the user object:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Locks.
  2. On the Locks form, select the object(s) that the user has opened.
  3. Take one of the following actions:
    • At the upper left part of the grid, click the Remove Lock button. This button only becomes enabled when the gird contains data.
    • At the end of each selected row, click X.
    Note: Removing a lock on an object that is opened by the user who is currently logged in to a supported application can cause data corruption.
  4. In the Remove Lock dialog box, click Yes.
  5. Click Save.
    Alternatively, you can remove the lock from the LOCKS tab on the Users form.
