Remove a Lock on a User Object from the Users Form

Use this procedure to remove a lock on a user object from the Users form.

To remove the lock on the object:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Users.
    The Users Detail View displays by default.
  2. Find and select the user that you need to update.
    You can use the Find User field at the top of Users Detail View. You can also click at the upper-right corner of the grid on Users List View to filter and search for users.
  3. On Users Detail View, select the Locks tab.
  4. On the Locks tab, in the grid, select the object(s) that the user has opened.
  5. Click Remove Lock.
    Removing a lock on an object that is opened by the user who is currently logged in to an application can cause data corruption.
  6. In the Warning dialog box, click Yes.
  7. Click Save.
    Alternatively, you can remove the lock from the Locks form, which you can access by clicking SECURITY > Locks.
