Troubleshooting Reports Overview

The reporting framework used by PM Compass takes an existing standard or custom report and runs a pre-process on that report in order to generate a new report on the fly. The system performs this process each time you run a report. This allows PM Compass to manipulate many aspects of the report in order to perform various functions, such as update the structure of the report, adjust the Where clause that interfaces with the Lookup control, apply access controls on the given report for a particular user, and apply standardized formatting for the report, which determines many of the options on the layout page.
