If your firm uses Vision Multicurrency, the currency amounts display in the project's billing currency or project currency. The currency is based on the Use Billing Currency not Project Currency option in Vision > Accounting > System Settings.

Field Description
Name This field displays the project's short name, from the Vision > Info Center > Project.
Number This field displays the project's identification number.
Project Manager This field displays the name of the project manager for the project (WBS1) level.
Contract Start - End This field displays the start and end dates for the project. The dates are based on the Initial Dates: Start and Completion Dates: Estimated fields in the Vision > Info Center > Project. These dates may differ from the dates on the Planning tab because planned dates may be outside the contract date range.
  • If the Initial Dates: Start field in the Vision > Info Center > Project is blank, the field displays the end date.
  • If the Completion Dates: Estimated field in the Vision > Info Center > Project is blank, the field displays the start date.
  • If both dates are blank in the Project Info Center, no dates display.
Contract

This field displays the total contract amount. It applies different calculations for this amount depending on if the Expenses and/or Consultants planning pages are enabled in Vision > Configuration > Planning > Plan Settings and the project's assigned charge type.

  • When you plan expenses and consultants, the contract is the sum of the following columns on the Contract page: Labor + Direct/Indirect Expenses + Consultant Fee + Reimbursable Consultants + Reimbursable Expenses.
  • When you plan expenses but not consultants, it is the sum of Labor + Direct/Indirect Expenses + Reimbursable Expenses.
  • When you plan consultants but not expenses, it is the sum of Labor + Direct/Indirect Expenses + Consultant Fee + Reimbursable Consultants.
  • When you do not plan expenses or consultants, it is the sum of Labor + Direct/Indirect Expenses.

You can click on the Contract label to see a breakdown of the amount that displays.

Labor Target Multiplier

This multiplier is used as the basis for evaluation against the Labor EAC multiplier. The multiplier represents how much revenue is anticipated for each labor cost dollar spent on a project. If you are viewing a Vision plan, this field displays the Target Multiplier for Cost on the General tab of Vision > Project Planning. If you are viewing a Navigator plan, this field displays the Target Multiplier that is assigned in Plan Settings.

If the Vision plan's Budget Type is set to Billing, the multiplier is blank.

Calculation: Target Labor Cost Multiplier for the Project

If a project is mapped to multiple Vision plans that have the Include in utilization and project reports option selected, Navigator shows the target multiplier from the plan with the earliest creation date.

Labor EAC Multiplier

The estimate-at-completion (EAC) labor cost amount is the cost value of the hours worked through today and the remaining planned hours. To determine the multiplier, this calculation is used: Labor Contract / EAC Labor.

Only the EAC cost amounts from plans in utilization are included in the calculation. All Navigator plans are marked to Include in utilization and project reports. Vision plans may or may not be marked to Include in utilization and project reports.

The job-to-date values in EAC are from posted and unposted labor. If a plan's budget type is set to Billing, the plan does not track labor cost values and nothing can be calculated for the Labor EAC Multiplier.

If your firm is using Vision Multicurrency, the Use Billing Currency not Project Currency option in Vision > Accounting > System Settings determines how the multiplier is calculated.
  • If you are using Project currency, or if you are not using a Multicurrency system, the calculation is as follows: Labor EAC Multiplier (in project currency) = Labor Contract in project currency / EAC Labor in project currency
  • If you are using Billing currency, the calculation is as follows: Labor EAC Multiplier (in project currency) = {(Labor Contract in billing currency / Compensation in billing currency) x Compensation in project currency} / EAC Labor in project currency
Job to Date This field displays the billing value of the charges to Direct, Indirect, and Reimbursable labor, expense, and consultant accounts on all posted and unposted transactions and committed purchase orders through today. This amount is summed to higher levels of the WBS.

You can click on the JTD label to see a breakdown of the amount that displays.

Calculation: JTD = Posted and unposted labor, expenses, and consultants + committed purchase orders + other posted expense charges.
Estimate to Complete This field displays the estimate-to-complete (ETC) bill amount for tomorrow forward for labor, expenses, and consultants. This is the value required from tomorrow through the end of the plan to complete the project.

Labor ETC is the planned amount for tomorrow forward. Expenses and Consultants ETC is the Planned Less JTD amount on the project level of their respective planning grids if the amount is greater than zero.

If a project is mapped on multiple Vision plans that have the Include in Utilization and Project Reports option selected, Navigator totals are the combined values.

Note: Expense ETC does not exist when the Expense planning page is disabled. For Consultants, there is no consultant ETC if the Consultant planning tab is disabled or if it is enabled but you are viewing a promotional or overhead project.
Calculation: ETC (Labor + Expenses + Consultants) = Planned labor amount from tomorrow forward + remaining expense and consultant planned amounts.

You can click on the Estimate to Complete label to see a breakdown of the amount that displays.

Estimate at Completion

This field displays the estimate-at-completion (EAC) bill amount for tomorrow forward for labor, expenses, and consultants.

Labor EAC is JTD plus ETC.

Expenses and Consultants EAC is planned if it is greater than or equal to JTD; otherwise, it is JTD.

Calculation: EAC (Labor + Expenses + Consultants) = JTD labor + consultants through today + ETC labor from tomorrow forward + remaining expense and consultant planned amounts.

You can click on the Estimate at Completion label to see a breakdown of the amount that displays.

If the Vision plan's Budget Type is set to Cost, this amount displays as zero. If a project is mapped on multiple Vision plans that have the Include in utilization and project reports option selected, Navigator totals are the combined values.
