Insert a Bulleted List for a Proposal
When you insert a bulleted list via the Text Editor dialog box, special guidelines apply if the list will be merged to Microsoft Word for use with GovWin Capture Management Proposals.
When you merge a
GovWin Capture Management proposal, the text merges in the same format as was entered in the Text Editor dialog box. However, the bullet size and style are determined by the merge template's merge code.
To insert a bulleted list, complete the following steps:
- On the Text Editor dialog box, enter the text that will form the bulleted list. Do not paste text that is already formatted as a bulleted list into the Text Editor.
- Highlight the lines of text and click on the toolbar. The Text Editor adds bullets to the lines of text and indents the bullets.
-
Optional. To modify the bullet indentation to flush left, select one of the following actions:
- Run a Microsoft Word macro on the merged text to remove the indentation on the bulleted paragraphs (if they are the only paragraphs indented to those increments within the merged document).
- Manually remove the bullet indentation after the merge.
-
Optional. To modify the bullet style, select one of the following actions:
- Manually modify the bullet style after the merge.
- Enter special characters in front of the bulleted list, such as two colons and a space or any other unique letter or character combination. The Microsoft Word macro searches for these special characters and replaces them with a Microsoft Word style that includes the desired bullet style.
