Work Breakdown Structures and Contract Records
A Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is a contract management tool that you use to organize the various components of work required to complete a contract.
A WBS divides your contracts into work elements and collects and manages contract data. When you create a contract in GovWin Capture Management, you can also create a WBS for that contract.
A contract's WBS can consist of up to three levels:
- WBS Level 1 — Contract
- WBS Level 2 — Phase
- WBS Level 3 — Task
You can create as many phases and tasks as needed for each contract.
You create a contract's WBS when you create a new contract or when you use an existing record to create a new contract.
You can change the default WBS labels to labels that are appropriate for your company or industry.
