Create a New Contract from a Contract Template

You can create a new contract from a contract template, which contains a pre-defined Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as well as pre-defined data values that are transferred to the new contract record.

Use this approach to save time and to ensure that new contract data is accurate and consistent. If contract defaults are specified in General Configuration, those default settings override template settings.

To create a new contract from a contract template, complete the following steps:

1. From the GovWin Capture Management Navigation menu, click Info Center > Contracts.
2. Click New and select Create Contract from.
3. On the Create Contract from dialog box, set the Copy From field to Contract Template.
4. In the Contract Template field, click Search to open the Contract Template lookup and select the template that you want to use to create the new contract record.
5. Complete the remaining fields on the Create Contract from dialog box (for the new contract record).
6. Click OK. GovWin Capture Management closes the Create Contract from dialog box and opens a new contract record. GovWin Capture Management enters the contract template information in the new contract record.
7. On the tabs of the Contract Info Center form, enter additional information about the new contract.
8. Click Save.
